About Me

Rennie Bridgman grew up on a family farm in Dinwiddie County near Fort Pickett and Blackstone, VA. The family grew tobacco, corn, grain and for a while operated a small dairy selling grade B milk. Rennie was exposed to all aspects of rural living including milking cows by hand. Although as an adult he never depended on farming for a livelihood, he has always enjoyed watching crops being planted, tended to and harvested.

Rennie graduated college in 1967 with a BS Degree in business administration and his first job was with a local bank. He then developed an interests in law enforcement and criminal justice resulting in a thirty year career as a Probation and Parole officer for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He retired at the age of 55 and soon thereafter obtained a real estate license.

He worked for a local brokerage and obtained his broker license as soon as he was eligible to do so and in 2010 affiliated with United Country-Landmark Realty in Victoria, VA. He now operates the Dinwiddie office under the name United Country-Virginia Realty.

Today Rennie lives on the family farm with his wife of 46 years and a daughter and son-in-law who built a house on the farm. They also have a son who lives in Colonial Heights, VA and they anticipate he will return to the farm in the near future. Rennie’s greatest enjoyment is spending time with his two grandsons, ages 12 & 17.

Rennie serves as the chair of the administrative board of Mansons United Methodist Church, is a charter member of the Darvills Ruritan Club and is a member of the Dinwiddie County Chamber of Commerce. He was appointed by the Board of Supervisors as a commission member of the Crater Youth Care Commission where he currently serves. This commission operates a juvenile detention facility.

Rennie specializes in listing and selling lifestyle properties in rural America including farms, recreational property, timberland property, country homes and hobby farms as well as homes in town and commercial property. He enjoys connecting buyers with the property of their dreams while helping sellers market their property. He is knowledgeable about conservation easements and the advantages they can be to landowners. So whether you are buying or selling, give Rennie a call. His office # is 1-(804) 469-5902 and his cell # is 1-(804) 586-0840.
